Everyone’s got something to say,
about a life they never lived.
Judging from a safe distance,
calling out what they don’t get.
You don’t know the road I took,
or the weight I learned to carry.
You saw a moment, made a story,
called it truth and moved on fast.
I’ve got better things to waste my breath on,
than fixing lives that aren’t my own.
I care, not about that,
not your fuss, not your rules.
Let people live, let people move,
make their mistakes, break your molds.
I care, not about that,
if nobody’s getting hurt.
Mind your lane, I’ll mind mine,
let people be, let it work.
Some like noise, some like calm,
some believe, some still ask.
Different minds, different truths,
that’s not chaos, that’s just facts.
You call strange what you don’t know,
call it wrong to feel safe.
But life’s more fun with rough edges,
not everyone’s here to behave.
I’m done explaining how I breathe,
or why I’m not like you want me to be.
I care, not about that,
not your looks, not your tone.
If it’s harmless, let it pass,
you don’t own the way we grow.
I care, not about that,
all the things that don’t belong.
Let people live, let people be,
the world’s better when it’s not the same song.
Let them try, let them fail,
let them figure it out alone.
Different paths, same damn planet,
no one wins by throwing stones.
I care, not about that,
not the noise, not the fuss.
Save your energy for something real,
not fixing everyone but us.
I care, not about that,
if no harm is being done.
Let people be who they are,
that’s how life gets interesting.
I care.
Just not about that.
