“In Better Shape” is released 16th October 2025. This is a song about a simple but powerful idea, that we can make the world a kinder place if we try to leave people, moments, and situations a little better than we found them.
That thought has followed me since I was young. It comes from my parents, who showed me what it means to care, to take responsibility, and to see others with warmth. And it comes from my years as a scout, where we often said: leave a place in better shape than when you arrived.
At the time, it was about cleaning up a campsite or caring for nature, but the older I’ve become, the more I’ve realized that the same principle applies to life itself.
The song was born from that reflection, what if we tried to live by that rule, not only with places, but with people? To leave each encounter, each conversation, each meeting, in better shape than before. Not through perfection, but through presence.
Of course, it’s not always easy. We all have days when our mind or body feels heavy, when we can barely take care of ourselves, let alone lift someone else. And yet, I believe that when we make an effort, when we choose empathy, when we listen, when we encourage, it starts a chain reaction. One small act of kindness becomes another. One gentle word makes someone else softer in return.
We might not always succeed, but every time we try, we add something positive to the world. And if more of us did that, even in small ways, maybe those ripples could grow into waves strong enough to make a real difference.
That’s what “In Better Shape” is about, a hope, a reminder, and a promise. To do our best. To care a little more. To leave this world, and the people in it, in better shape than when we arrived.
