This single will be released 16th October 2025. Now that it’s only a few days left until the release of my first songs and lyrics, I have to admit, I feel a bit like a fraud. Because I’m not exactly at peace.
Most of my time lately has been spent in front of a computer, or making final tweaks to mixes and images and then find time for all the other things that is going on in life with family and work. Not exactly what Simpler Ways is about.
The irony isn’t lost on me. This song carries a message about slowing down, about finding calm and happiness not in achievements or screens or endless to-do lists, but in the simple things. Yet here I am, racing the clock, checking files, fixing details, while the world outside moves quietly without me.
Still, the song’s message is true. I know that for myself. When I actually do find peace, it’s rarely because I’ve finished something. It’s usually because I’m out in nature. When I’m walking in the woods, by the sea, or just sitting in silence somewhere green. That’s when I stop thinking about time. That’s when I stop feeling the weight of all the musts in life.
Maybe Simpler Ways is my own reminder, the kind of message we write not because we’ve mastered it, but because we need to hear it again and again. The style of the music to this song is slightly different but definitely something I will do more of since I have a crush for synth and electronic sounds.
I hope I’ll have more of those simpler ways moments in the future.
